About Stroud Trails
Stroud Trails takes runners through the Cotswold Edge on an 11 km trail race on 9 May 2027. The route winds through an area of outstanding natural beauty, incorporating local footpaths, towpaths, disused railway tracks and common land across the Cotswolds hills.
The course is waymarked with black and orange chevrons and supported by 12 checkpoints providing water; some checkpoints also offer small snacks. Runners must carry a 500 ml water container. Route maps, GPX files and detailed descriptions are available in advance so participants can familiarise themselves with the terrain beforehand. Race HQ is based at a school hall in Stroud, with toilets and parking available nearby.
