About Suffolk Coastal Path 50K
The Suffolk Coastal Path 50K takes runners on a 52 km trail journey along the East Suffolk coast, starting near Lowestoft and finishing at Aldeburgh. Held on 11 September 2027, this point-to-point race winds through varied terrain: hard paths and country lanes give way to moorland and forest trails, with sections skirting the RSPB Minsmere reserve and following coastal paths through Sizewell and Thorpeness before the seafront finish.
The route is fully marked and supported by aid stations at Benacre, Reydon, Dunwich Church and Sizewell, with additional public facilities along the way. Runners must be at least 20 years old and will have 9 hours 15 minutes to complete the course. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and forms part of the UTMB World Series Index.
