About Summer Extravaganza
Summer Extravaganza takes place on 22 August 2026 at the Leeds/Liverpool Canal in Kirkstall, Leeds, with runners choosing between 10 km and 10 miles on a trail circuit. The event is organised by Its Grim Up North Running and licensed by the Trail Running Association. The route follows the canal towpath on a lapped course described as flat with good underfoot conditions.
Feed stations are positioned approximately every three miles along the route, with a 6.5 hour cut-off for completion. Runners are encouraged to bring a reusable cup or bottle as the event aims to be cup-less. Registration takes place at the Hollybush Conservation Centre on the day, with free car parking available nearby at Morrisons. Post-race refreshments include a BBQ roll with gluten-free and vegan options, alongside cake, tea, pop and beer.
