About Swanage Lighthouse Loop Run
Taking place in August 2026, the Swanage Lighthouse Loop Run is a 5 kilometre trail race set along the Dorset coast. Starting at Peveril Point near RNLI Swanage Lifeboat Station, the route follows the Jurassic coastline through Durlston Country Park and reaches Anvil Point Lighthouse before returning to Swanage.
The event forms part of Swanage Lifeboat Week and is one of six races in the Purbeck Trail Series. Runners will encounter a mix of surfaces, with the majority of the course on trail paths that wind through coastal terrain and parkland.
