About Symonds Yat Super Looper
Symonds Yat Super Looper is a six-hour trail running event held on 13 March 2027 in the Forest of Dean. Runners complete as many loops as possible of a marked 5.25 km trail based at The Rock B&B, with electronic scoring and sign-in required at HQ after each lap. The route takes in technical ground, over 100 steps, a steep climb to the Symonds Yat viewpoint and trig point, and flatter riverside sections, gaining approximately 160 m per loop.
The event starts as a mass gathering and runners work independently without pacers, though support teams are welcome at the HQ car park. An aid station supplies food, drink and electrolytes throughout, with cafe and toilet facilities also nearby. On-site medical and physio support is available, and a portion of entry fees supports Forestry England's woodland management.
