About Talan’s Notorious Trail 24/12/6 hour
Talan's Notorious Trail offers endurance running across multiple formats suited to different abilities and ambitions. Taking place at Widemouth Bay in Cornwall from 10 to 12 July 2027, competitors can enter the 6, 12 or 24 hour solo, pair or team events (teams of three to eight runners). A 16+ single-loop race and a Cub Fun Run for ages 4 to 15 round out the weekend programme.
The approximately 5-mile loop combines roughly 60% trail with 40% tarmac, including three road sections and around 307 ft of elevation per lap. Runners pass coastal viewpoints, a nature trail to the Weir and sections beside Bude Canal. The timed events use ankle timing tags with live results, and full medical cover runs throughout the 24 hour period.
Camping is included in the entry from Friday evening to Monday, accommodating the competitor, one adult and children under 16. The campsite adjoins the Bay View Inn and accepts campervans and caravans, though there are no electric hook-ups or showers. Night running requires a headtorch and rear flashing light. Event proceeds support Talan's Trust, which funds childhood cancer awareness and research.
