About Tap O'noth Hill Race
The main event follows a trail course that climbs steeply through heather to the summit of Tap O'Noth, gaining approximately 390 metres of ascent over 7.5 kilometres. The race starts and finishes at the playing fields in Rhynie, Aberdeenshire, and returns via the same route with a short final section back to the village.
Held on 15 August 2026 as part of the Rhynie Gala, the race is organised by Insch Trail Running Club under Scottish Hill Runners rules. Competitors must carry mandatory safety kit. A separate junior race of approximately 5 kilometres runs alongside the main event, with both fully marshalled.
