About Taynish Run Festival
Three trail running distances make up the Taynish Run Festival, held on 31 October 2026 in Tayvallich, Argyll and Bute. Participants can choose between a 5 km, 7 miles or 10 km route, all of which venture into the Taynish National Nature Reserve. The races are organised by Rotary of Mid Argyll in support of MacMillan Cancer Support, with 100 places available across the three distances combined.
The event starts at Tayvallich Church and finishes at Tayvallich Village Hall, where registration and briefing take place. The trail routes feature mixed surfaces and some steep climbs. Marshals will be stationed on course alongside water stops and first aid cover, and all finishers receive a medal and a ticket for the post-race buffet. Car parking is available at the village hall and in the village, though spaces are limited.
