About Tegg's Nose Fell Race
Tegg's Nose fell race attracts runners looking for a genuine fell running challenge in the Peak District. Held on 8 August 2026 at Trials Field near Macclesfield, the 12.8 km course climbs 525 metres over trail terrain, demanding both pace and endurance from its competitors. The race is properly timed and insured through the FRA.
Teams of three are welcome to compete for places, and runners aged 18 and over can enter either in advance or on the day. The event takes place alongside sheep dog trials, with juniors also competing as part of the day's schedule. Strict course rules mean no dogs are permitted and the route is off-limits for training or reconnaissance beforehand.
