About Tenacious Ten Hour Endurance Challenge
Taking place on 10 July 2027, the Tenacious Ten is a 10 hour trail endurance challenge held at Pengenfford Common near Talgarth in Powys. Runners tackle repeated loops of roughly 2.7 miles, each featuring around 1,000 ft of ascent across steep climbs, false summits, technical descents and runnable sections of open common trail. The fully marked course includes two clip stations where runners must record each completed lap, with a strict 10 hour cut off.
Solo runners, pairs and teams of four are welcome, with team entries counting loops collectively on a last person standing basis. A refuel zone at the start and finish provides food and drinks, with drop bag facilities also available. Mandatory kit requirements are checked at registration and include waterproof jacket and trousers, race vest, map or GPX file, head torch, whistle and numerous other items. A medical team is on site, and support crews are permitted at headquarters though not on the route itself.
