About Thames Path 100
Running in early May, the Thames Path 100 follows a 100 mile point-to-point route from Richmond in south west London to Oxford's Queen's College Sports Ground. The trail terrain mixes paved paths and riverside routes with single-track sections, climbing approximately 1900 feet across the 161 kilometre distance. Runners have a 30 hour time limit to complete the course, which is marked with permanent national trail markers plus additional event ribbons and arrows.
Twelve aid stations are positioned along the route, with hot food served at Henley, Goring and the finish. The event operates under an official UKA permit through the Trail Running Association, and pacers are permitted from the halfway point at Henley. A mandatory kit list applies, and drop bags can be deposited at the start for collection at specified aid stations.
