About The 89th McConnell Shield
Cross country runners competing in the NI Athletics XC league will recognise the McConnell Shield as a fixture in the calendar. Held at Six Mile Water Park in Ballyclare, County Antrim, this November fixture offers both 3-mile and 5-mile trail races on 14 November 2026.
