About The Beast
The Beast takes runners across undulating terrain around Corfe Castle Common in Dorset for approximately 13 miles. Organised by Poole AC and licensed by the TRA, this trail race on 6 September 2026 ventures from the common toward Worth Matravers before joining the coastal path, offering views across the coast, before returning with a few minor hills to navigate.
Four water stations are positioned along the route, with cups provided for those without their own. The race operates under UK Athletics Rules with a cut-off time of 3 hours 30 minutes. Runners must be at least 17 years old; dogs and buggies are not permitted, and the course is unsuitable for wheelchairs.
