About The Chanctonbury Chase
UK Training Club organises The Chanctonbury Chase, a trail running event based at Wiston Estate in the South Down's National Park near Horsham. Taking place on 16 May 2027, runners can choose between a 10 km distance or a longer 100 km challenge, both built on the same marked loop around the estate.
The course features rolling hills, woodland tracks and estate roads characteristic of Sussex trail running, with aid stations positioned on each 10 km lap supplying water, energy drinks, gels and snacks. The looped format means participants pass through the Event Village regularly, creating natural points for spectator support and access to facilities including chip timing, medical cover, baggage drop, showers and onsite food vendors.
