About The Cut - Liminal
The Cut: Liminal is a 12-hour trail running endurance event taking place on 24 October 2026 at The Watering Hole in Perranporth, Cornwall. The format consists of 12 timed rounds, each covering 3–4 miles on a running loop, with the required completion time for each round revealed only as it begins. Runners who fail to meet a round's time limit are eliminated immediately. If multiple competitors remain after 12 rounds, a final hour determines the winner.
The course uses local coastline, dunes and surrounding terrain near Perranporth Life Saving Club, featuring exposure, shifting ground and undulating coastal conditions. Organisers recommend that competitors be able to run three miles in 24 minutes or under on undulating terrain. Mandatory kit includes trail or off-road shoes, high-visibility outer layer, head torch, rear red light, charged mobile phone and personal hydration system; spare footwear and socks are advised for the coastal environment. Crew support is permitted.
