About The Devil Half Marathon
The Devil Half Marathon takes runners into the Derwent Valley near Blaydon on Tyne for a trail-based half marathon on 9 August 2026. The 13.1-mile route covers rough and uneven terrain with significant elevation gain of 1666 feet, including the challenging Clockburn Lonnen within the opening mile.
The event is based at the Land of Oak & Iron on Spa Well Road in Winlaton Mill. Finishers receive a T-shirt, and on-course photography captures the action throughout the race. Post-run refreshments and music add to the finish experience, with cash prizes awarded to the top male and female finishers.
