Taking place on 20 September 2026, The Doone Run is a 10-mile trail race set in the Doone Valley within Exmoor, organized by Ilfracombe Running Club. The event has been running for over 30 years and follows a traditional route through terrain managed by the National Trust and Lee Abbey, featuring significant elevation changes and varied hill sections. Runners must be at least 17 years old to enter.
The race operates with a maximum of 250 participants and enforces a strict time limit for safety, with a mandatory cutoff at the 5-mile mark (Olde Cottage Inn) of 1 hour 20 minutes. The starting point is Lynmouth Lyndale Car Park in North Devon.
