About The Dorset Doddle
The Dorset Doddle is a 32-mile trail event taking place on 23 August 2026, following the coastal path from Weymouth to Swanage. Starting at the Jubilee Clock on Weymouth Esplanade and finishing at All Saints Church Hall in Swanage, the route crosses notable coastal scenery and includes several steep climbs. Participants have a 12-hour time limit to complete the distance.
Checkpoints along the way provide drinks and light snacks, with a meal served at the finish. Runners are advised to carry their own food and drink supplies. The route is covered by Ordnance Survey map OL15, though this is not compulsory. A detailed route description becomes available ten days before the event. Entrants must be at least 16 years old; those under 18 require parental consent and must be accompanied by a named adult.
