About The Drop Birmingham
The Drop Birmingham is a navigation challenge for runners willing to rely entirely on their own judgment and instincts. Participants hand over phones, watches and maps before being bussed to an undisclosed drop point in the countryside outside the city, then navigate back to the event centre on foot across trail and urban terrain.
Three distances are offered based on straight-line drops: 6 miles, 10 miles and 15 miles. The actual routes covered will be considerably longer, determined entirely by each runner's chosen path and decisions made during the event. Taking place on 13 September 2026, this self-navigated race offers no markers, signage or support—just the landscape and the challenge of finding your own way home.
