About The Drop Cambridge
The Drop Cambridge strips back running to its most primal form: three trail-based navigation challenges where participants must find their own way home. Taking place on 6 February 2027, runners choose between 6, 10 or 15 mile straight-line drops from an undisclosed point outside Cambridge, then navigate back to the event centre using only their instincts and route-finding skills. Phones, watches and maps are surrendered before departure, leaving competitors to make their own decisions across Cambridgeshire's terrain.
With no markers, checkpoints or guidance on the ground, actual distances covered will exceed the measured drop depending on the paths chosen. The event combines trail running with self-navigation across a mix of landscape and urban terrain, demanding both physical capability and resourcefulness from those taking part.
