About The Drop Nottingham
The Drop Nottingham challenges participants to navigate their way back to the city centre from an undisclosed location, without maps, phones or watches. Taking place on 14 March 2027, the event offers three distances: a 6-mile drop, 10-mile drop or 15-mile drop, with the measured straight-line distance from the release point to Nottingham's event centre. The actual route covered will be longer, determined entirely by each runner's own navigation decisions and choice of path across the Nottinghamshire trail and urban landscape.
Participants surrender all navigation aids before being transported by bus to the drop point, then rely solely on personal judgement to find their way back. With no markers, guidance or support along the way, this is a self-navigated route-finding experience that rewards resourcefulness and local knowledge as much as running ability.
