About The Flower of Suffolk
The Flower Of Suffolk takes runners on a choice of two trail routes across Suffolk's coast and heathland on 4 October 2026. Starting and finishing at Walberswick Village Hall, participants can choose either 18 miles or 26 miles, navigating footpaths around Minsmere and Dunwich as well as stretches along the coast. The 2026 edition follows a modified route due to Sizewell C construction work.
Runners will find checkpoints stocked with food and drinks along the way, with hot drinks at the start and a meal provided at the finish. The event caters for vegetarian diets as standard, though those with specific dietary requirements are advised to bring their own supplies. Dogs are welcome if insured and kept on a lead. Participants should come prepared for autumn weather with appropriate clothing, footwear and navigation tools, and bring a personal mug for checkpoint use.
