About The Grizzly
The Grizzly takes place in Seaton, East Devon on 14 March 2027, offering two trail running options across mixed terrain. The longer route covers approximately 20 miles, incorporating beaches, cliff paths, woodland tracks, boggy sections, a river crossing and passages past a pub garden. The shorter Cub race spans about 9 miles but still features elevation gain, beach running and a river crossing.
Run entirely by local volunteers, the event draws participants from across the UK and beyond. Both races are designated running events with enforced cut-off points; runners must maintain an average pace of 19 minutes per mile and are required to run the majority of the route. Course maps are available from the organisers, and parts of the route cross private land that should not be used for training outside race day.
