About The Hardmoors 15
Hardmoors organises a series of winter trail races across the North Yorkshire moors, and the Hardmoors 15 carries on that tradition on 9 January 2027. Starting and finishing at Fylingdales Village Hall in Robin Hoods Bay, this 18-mile circular trail route takes in approximately 1700 feet of ascent over Robin Hoods Bay and the surrounding terrain. Competitors have eight hours to complete the course, which passes three staffed checkpoints at Ravenscar, Hayburn Wyke and Ravenscar again, where food, water and cola are available.
The event is limited to 150 runners. Participants must log in at each checkpoint, carry mandatory kit including waterproof jacket, hat, gloves, map, whistle, mobile phone and survival equipment, and notify a marshal if retiring from the race. Dogs are not permitted. Finishers receive a medal and Hardmoors technical t-shirt.
