About The Hardmoors 30
Taking place on 9 January 2027, The Hardmoors 30 is a 30-mile circular trail race starting and finishing at Fylingdales Village Hall in Robin Hood's Bay near Whitby. The route traverses cliff top paths along the Cleveland Way and the Cinder Track, passing through Ravenscar, Hayburn Wyke, Crookness and Scalby Mills, with a total ascent of 3400 feet.
Runners must complete the course within 11 hours, with official cut-offs at checkpoint locations including Scalby Mills at around 14.5 miles. Checkpoints offering refreshments and food are positioned at Ravenscar, Crookness and Scalby Mills. The race is limited to 200 runners aged 18 and over. Mandatory kit includes a waterproof jacket with taped seams, hat and gloves, headtorch, whistle, emergency food, map and route description, survival bag, foil blanket, mobile phone and a cup. Entrants should carry at least 500 ml of drink for the duration. Dogs are not permitted.
