About The Hardmoors 60
A 63-mile ultramarathon following the Cleveland Way from Guisborough to Filey on 19 September 2026, The Hardmoors 60 takes runners along the Yorkshire coast through Saltburn, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and Scarborough, with approximately 2,500 metres of ascent over the trail route. Competitors face an 18-hour time limit, with the race starting at Guisborough Rugby Club and finishing at Filey Methodist Church.
The course includes eight manned checkpoints offering water and basic food, with two designated drop-bag locations at Runswick Bay and Ravenscar. Mandatory kit includes a waterproof jacket, headtorch with spare battery, paper map, whistle, survival bag or foil blanket, and mobile phone. Relay teams of two to four runners are permitted. Entry is limited to 300 competitors, and a personal tracker is included with entry.
