Runners tackle a 6.3km trail loop through the Hardwick Estate, a National Trust property that remains open to the public during the event. The route winds through the estate's grounds, farmlands and ponds before climbing towards the stately home itself.
Participants have up to six hours to complete one lap and achieve finisher status. The trail is fully signposted and includes two marshalled road crossings.
