The Hateful 8 takes runners into Bridgend's winter landscape, with a course that winds through forest paths, climbs frosty terrain, and follows stretches alongside rivers and woodland. The 8 mile trail loop forms the backbone of the event, held on 14 November 2026 near Pentre Felin in Aberkenfig.
Participants can choose between one loop or two, depending on their appetite for the challenge. A relay format option sees team members each tackle the 8 mile route in turn. After finishing, runners gather for hot Welsh cawl or chili with bread.
