About The Iron Keep
A five-hour endurance challenge set around Carron Valley Reservoir near Stirling, The Iron Keep tasks runners with completing as many laps as possible within the time limit. The course loops through a medieval-style village, with each lap passing the start and finish area in the village square, which serves as the event hub complete with an aid station, team camp and live race updates.
Participants can enter as solos, pairs or quads, with team categories running relay-style. Fancy dress is encouraged, and costume prizes are awarded alongside recognition for the most laps completed. The event takes place on 5 September 2026 on trail terrain.
