About THE LAP - Windermere Ultra Clockwise
The Lap circumnavigates Lake Windermere in a single 47-mile trail loop, starting and finishing at Low Cunsey Farm near Ambleside. Taking place over 8-9 May 2027, this ultra event welcomes both runners and walkers to complete the circuit within 24 hours, with cutoffs enforced from the halfway aid station at Troutbeck.
The route is fully signposted and supplied as a waterproof foldable map with GPX data. Competitors receive live GPS tracking throughout, allowing supporters to follow progress remotely. Six staffed feed stations are positioned around the course, offering water, drinks and food, with a bag drop available at the halfway point. Mandatory kit requirements apply and random checks will be carried out during the event.
