About The Line 300

A 300-mile trail-based challenge across six days, The Line 300 tests endurance and self-sufficiency in equal measure. Taking place in January 2027, this winter edition follows the Greenwich Meridian Trail from Sand Le Mere in the north to Peacehaven on the south coast, with competitors required to complete the route unsupported within 144 hours.

Entrants must be entirely self-sufficient on route, carrying all necessary kit and navigating by provided GPX. No external assistance or crew support is permitted, though competitors may use shops and cafes along the way. The winter edition demands a higher entry standard—applicants must have completed a 150-mile qualifier—and requires mandatory cold-weather kit including a winter bivi bag, waterproofs, down jacket and spare clothes in a drybag. A signed waiver confirming access to external extraction within an hour is also required. Organisers emphasise they provide no ongoing monitoring or rescue support and recommend personal insurance. Finishers receive a bespoke medal, T-shirt and mug.
