About The Maverick Suffolk Gravel
The Maverick Suffolk Gravel takes runners into East Suffolk's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, based at Wantisden Hall. The event features three trail-running options across largely unspoilt woodland and gravel paths that wind through nature reserves and Sites of Special Scientific Interest. Routes are very flat with sandy sections and tranquil forest trails, offered at 9 km, 16 km and 23 km distances.
Support varies by distance. The shortest route has no outpost provision, while the 16 km and 23 km routes each include two outposts offering snacks, gels and electrolytes. Toilets are available at the start and finish. Free parking is provided at Wantisden Hall, which sits roughly two hours from central London and about 14 minutes from Melton train station. Dogs can enter in limited numbers, and under-18s must be accompanied by a participating adult. Runners are asked to bring a reusable cup for outpost use.
