About The MTC Cotswold Ultra
A 57-mile point-to-point ultramarathon along the Thames Path, the MTC Cotswold Ultra follows the river from its source through the Cotswolds to Oxford, taking in Somerford Keynes, Cricklade, Castle Eaton, Lechlade and Newbridge on 5 August 2027. The trail-based course finishes at Travelodge Oxford Abingdon Road.
Four checkpoints supply water and basic nutrition including malt loaf, cake, sandwiches, nuts, dried fruit and sweets, with drop bags accepted at stations. Organisers cater for gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian diets where possible. Competitors must be at least 20 years old and carry mandatory kit: backpack, head torch with spare batteries, Ordnance Survey Map 150 or downloaded maps, compass or GPS, whistle, mobile phone and basic first aid kit. An average pace of 4.0 miles per hour must be maintained throughout. Entrants are responsible for their own transport to the start and from the finish.
