About The MTC Severn Path Ultra
The MTC Severn Path Ultra is a 59 mile trail ultramarathon taking place on 18 February 2028, running point to point from Shrewsbury to Worcester. The route follows the River Severn through Shropshire and Worcestershire, passing through villages including Ironbridge, Bewdley and Stourport. The terrain is generally flat for much of the journey.
Four checkpoint stations are positioned along the course, offering catering with vegan and gluten free options available to those who request them at entry. Competitors must maintain a minimum average speed of 4.0 miles per hour to continue, and a mandatory kit list applies including a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, map, compass or GPS, whistle, mobile phone, emergency food and basic first aid kit. Entrants must be at least 20 years old on race day. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and MTC head visor, with trophies awarded to the first male and female finishers.
