Trail runners seeking a longer forest adventure will find plenty to engage them in this 6-hour event taking place on 20 September 2026 at Nets Adventure near Newark and Sherwood in Nottinghamshire. The course weaves through forest, mixing varied terrain of forest floor, muddy sections and packed gravel paths with a few hills included along the way. Runners start from a dedicated Race HQ area and can expect a fully marked route throughout.
The event marks the 100th running of the Rasselbock series. Support includes full first aid provision and a well-stocked aid station at HQ. The nearest train stations are Mansfield and Retford, with public bus access to Sherwood Pines (roughly every 15 minutes), followed by approximately a mile's walk to the start. A large car park operates at the forest site. Age restrictions apply: participants must be 12 or older, with under-18s requiring parental contact before entry.
