About The Salmon Run Ultra
The Salmon Run Ultra takes participants on a 43-mile trail journey through East Devon on 19 September 2026, starting at Sideshore Queen's Drive Space in Exmouth and finishing in Dulverton. The route follows mainly the Exe Valley Way from the coast toward Exmoor, with total ascent of around 1,050 metres and a 12-hour cutoff.
A relay option is also available, in which teams of up to eight runners each cover a single section while carrying a symbolic Salmon baton. The ultra is open to entrants aged 18 and over; relay entries welcome those aged 12 and over. The event is organised by Tidelines in collaboration with Wild Running and highlights salmon conservation and river health, with intermittent music, performances and local community activities positioned at towns and river locations along the way. Runners are advised to bring torches.
