About The Shere 42k Multi Terrain Event
Taking place on 12 September 2026, the Shere 42k Multi Terrain Event offers three trail running distances across the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Participants can choose between 10 km, 21 km or 42 km routes, all starting and finishing at the cricket pavilion on Shere Recreation Ground in the village of Shere.
The event features clearly marked trails with marshals positioned along the routes. An Event Village will showcase running brands and kit providers, while food and refreshments are available before and after racing. Free parking is provided for runners and spectators. Those looking to explore the routes ahead of time can join the organiser's fortnightly Sunday morning training runs, which cover sections of the event course.
