About The Stone Circle Marathon
The Stone Circle Marathon & Half takes runners around Gargrave in North Yorkshire on 31 October 2026, with routes reaching the Broughton Stone Circle through Yorkshire Dales terrain. Both the 13.1-mile half marathon and 26.2-mile full marathon follow a looped course combining fields, footpaths, canal towpaths and country roads. The half marathon covers one loop; the full marathon two.
The races are volunteer-run and non-profit, with ARC registration and first aid cover. Runners will find three refreshment stations per loop, plus facilities at the start and finish including toilets, changing facilities and bag storage. OpenTracking provides timing, and finishers receive a sustainable medal. Post-race refreshments are served at the finish. Entrants must be aged 18 or older for the full marathon, or 17 or older for the half marathon, and capable of completing the course.
