About The Tommy Run
On Sunday 1 November 2026, The Tommy Run takes place at the Tommy War Memorial Statue on North Terrace in Seaham, County Durham. Runners can choose between a 5 km or 10 km trail route that follows the Seaham seafront, taking in road, promenade and coastal trail sections. A one-minute silence will be observed before the races begin, timed to fall on the Sunday before Remembrance Sunday.
The event operates a 95-minute cut-off due to road closures and is a running race only. Chip timing provides instant results for all finishers, who receive a medal, event t-shirt, snack and drink. Public car parking is available in Seaham, and a donation from ticket sales supports the Royal British Legion and Help for Heroes.
