About The Twmbarlwm Terror
The Twmbarlwm Terror takes runners on a roughly 7-mile circuit through mixed terrain, starting and finishing at Trinity Court in Risca. The route climbs to Twmbarlwm peak via footpaths, open fields, country lanes and woodland, with varied underfoot conditions and approximately 1000 ft of elevation gain on the return journey through Pantyreos.
Organised by Fairwater Runners Cwmbran, this November race offers medical and rescue cover, marshalling throughout, and refreshment stations. Facilities include parking at Risca Leisure Centre, changing rooms, showers and toilets on site. Complimentary tea, coffee and cake are provided for finishers. Numbers are collected on the day. The event has a 200-place limit and welcomes age category competitors as well as those chasing an overall finish.
