About The White Horse Gallop
The Westbury White Horse provides a distinctive backdrop for this 12 km trail run through Wiltshire's bridle paths and the Imber Range. Taking place on 18 October 2026, the event starts and finishes at Leighton Recreation Centre in Westbury, with competitors following a marked route that passes close to the famous chalk figure.
The race accepts runners aged 16 and over, with entries limited to 200. Two water stations support participants along the route, and a GPX file is available for those wishing to preview the course. Registration takes place on race day between 09:00 and 10:00, with race numbers required to be clearly visible at the finish. Prizes are awarded across male and female categories, including veteran age groups from V40 upwards, and all finishers receive a bespoke medal. Headphones and dogs are not permitted during the run.
