About The Yomp - Sunset Stroll
A 10 km trail route across Westmorland and Furness, the La Sportiva Sunset Stroll takes place on 11 June 2027 as part of the YOMP weekend in Kirkby Stephen. Starting from Basecamp with a group warmup, participants climb toward Tailbrigg before reaching Birket Fell, where views across the Eden Valley open up across the landscape.
The route is fully marshalled and flagged, allowing walkers and joggers to move at their own pace. At the Berry, Grape and Grain Fell Top, there's a tasting experience featuring local culinary products. Throughout the route, friendly hosts share local history and landscape information, framing the event as a guided outdoor experience that combines marked trail walking with on-route commentary and a food stop.
