About Thieveley Pike Fell Race
Taking place on Saturday 26 September 2026, the Thieveley Pike Fell Race is a 4.3-mile trail fell race near Burnley in Lancashire. The course climbs approximately 1,310 feet across flagged and marshalled terrain, starting from a field by the Ram Inn and following the Mary Towneley Loop before ascending to moorland. The route takes in rough ground, a ruin at CP4, grassy and technical descents, and a young plantation on the return.
Registration happens at St John's Church Hall in Holme, Chapel-in-Cliviger. Runners should bring waterproofs covering the torso from head to ankles, as the course includes boggy sections and exposed moorland. Prizes are awarded across categories including the first five men and women, U23 runners, and veterans in ten-year age bands.
