About Thursley Common 10km
Thursley Common in Surrey's Thursley National Nature Reserve provides the setting for this 10km trail run on 24 February 2027. The 325-hectare reserve encompasses heathland, peat bogs, pine and deciduous woodlands, open ponds and sections of boardwalk, including the stretch designated Britain's Favourite Path. The route is the flattest offered by the organiser and is led by an experienced guide at a social group pace rather than a competitive speed.
Participants should be comfortable maintaining around 10 minutes per mile on trails for the duration, though steeper sections can be walked and the group regroups regularly. The run starts and finishes at Mickleham Village Hall in Mole Valley. Silva torches are available to trial beforehand, and a full kit list is provided in advance. The reserve is accessible just off the A3 with car parking on site.
