About Tollymore Trail Marathon Events
Established in 2010, the Tollymore Trail Marathon Events have become a fixture in Northern Ireland's running calendar. Held annually in Tollymore Forest Park in the Mourne Mountains, the event draws trail runners of all abilities to tackle off-road terrain that includes forest tracks, riverside paths, single-track sections, steep climbs and rugged ground winding through woodlands and past historic landmarks.
On 14 November 2026, runners can choose from three distance options, each based on a 21 km loop: a half marathon covering one loop, a marathon over two loops, and an ultra marathon spanning three loops. The marathon awards one ITRA point, while the ultra earns two. Proceeds from the 10 km race and the Challenge Walk support Cancer Focus NI as the event's charity partner.
