About Top Gun 40th Anniversary Marathons & Half Marathons
This trail-based event takes runners around Caldecotte Lake in Milton Keynes across the weekend of 17-18 October 2026. The marathon covers seven scenic laps of the lake, while the half marathon comprises three and a half laps, both starting and finishing at the Premier Inn on Lakeside Grove.
The event celebrates the 40th anniversary of Top Gun with bespoke medals for all finishers. The lakeside location is easily reached from Central Milton Keynes and Bletchley railway stations, sitting just off the A5 and three miles from the M1 junction. A pub and hotel are available at the finish.
