About Tour De Yr Wyddfa
This winter mountain race on 23 January 2027 offers runners two trail routes around Yr Wyddfa near Llanberis: a 24 km half route and a 44 km full route. Both can be tackled solo or as part of a team, with GPX files provided for navigation.
Entry is restricted to those with prior mountain or fell running experience. The half route requires completion of three AL-graded races or equivalent unmarked winter experience, while the full route demands the same standard plus additional winter mountaineering credentials. Competitors must be self-sufficient in winter mountain conditions, carrying mandatory safety and survival kit including waterproofs, warm layers, hat, gloves, bivvy bag, map, compass, water, food, torch, whistle and mobile phone.
The race is organised by Eryri Harriers and will only proceed if sufficient entries are received.
