About Town to Tower 10K | Ruthin to Moel Famau Uphill Race
Town to Tower 10K takes runners from the heart of Ruthin up into the Clwydian Hills on 4 October 2026. This 10 km trail race climbs continuously to Moel Famau's Jubilee Tower, finishing at over 550 metres above sea level. The route follows scenic lanes before turning onto hillside terrain, with a particularly steep section around the halfway point at Bwlch Penbarras.
The race welcomes runners of all abilities, from those who'll walk sections of the course to experienced hill runners. After crossing the finish line, participants face a short walk of 25-35 minutes back down to Bwlch Penbarras. Transport can be arranged back to Ruthin town centre at the end of the day.
