About Trossachs Trundle
The Heart of Scotland LDWA organises the Trossachs Trundle, a 22.4 mile trail challenge that takes place on 12 September 2026 from Callander in Stirling. The circular route circumnavigates Loch Venachar with 3350 feet of ascent, running mainly on good tracks, paths and private roads. The route passes Bracklinn Falls and Callander Crags before following the Rob Roy Way and Great Trossachs Path, with checkpoints at 7.6, 13.7 and 19.1 miles.
The event starts and finishes at Kirk Hall in Callander. Light refreshments are provided at the 7.6 mile and 19.1 mile checkpoints, with more substantial snacks available at 13.7 miles, and hot food served at the finish. All entrants receive a certificate. Participants must be at least 16 years old, with under-18s requiring parental accompaniment. Dogs are not permitted.
