About Ultra Trails - Wold Rangers Way Ultra
The Yorkshire Wolds provide the backdrop for this 52 km trail ultra, which loops through the region's rolling landscapes and distinctive dry valleys. Starting and finishing at Field House Camping & Coffee Barn near Tibthorpe, the Wold Ranges Way Ultra follows much of the established footpath, taking runners through the villages of Huggate, Fridaythorpe, Thixendale, Fimber and Wetwang. The route is clearly marked throughout, with four indoor checkpoints offering toilets and support along the way.
Now in its sixth edition, this April event attracts a limited field of 200 runners and has become popular across the region. The course combines quiet trails with expansive views across the Wolds, offering varied terrain that showcases the area's rural character. Taking place on 17 April 2027, the ultra includes free parking and live tracking for participants.
